All clients booking safaris in Tanzania Kenya and Uganda are automatically covered by the Flying Doctors Emergency Evacuation Service to Nairobi on purchase of US $. 30 Voucher before start of Safari. We assist in this respect, but medical bills have to be settled direct by the client.

 

FREE RECONFIRMATION OF FLIGHTS.

Our service includes automatic reconfirmation of your client’s onward flight reservations on production of the appropriate air ticket to our office or representative on arrival.

 

CONFERENCE AND INCENTIVES.

Tanzania and particularly Arusha already has a reputation as a world conference center with excellent facilities for meetings and social functions. These facilities, combined with the natural beauty and wildlife of the country, make this popular destination for incentive groups for whom many special extras can be included. ITINERARIES.                                                                                                   

Regular daily departures or our safaris offer our clients the opportunity of selecting a safari to fit in with arrival arrangements. We recommend clients arrive a day or two prior to their safari to allow time to acclimatize and enjoy local sightseeing and restaurants

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

Visitors to Tanzania and Zanzibar should ensure that they have a valid passport and visa. Visas can be obtained at Tanzanian diplomatic missions or on arrival at the airport. Zanzibar operates its own immigration control and visitors require a valid Yellow Fever certificate. Although Yellow Fever vaccination certificates are no longer needed on mainland Tanzania, visitors should still be vaccinated against this disease. Those overstaying the validity of their visa, or who are working without an appropriate permit, are liable to arrest, detention and a fine before deportation.

HEALTH.                                                                                                             

Malaria is endemic to certain areas of Africa and all visitors should take precautions against malaria. Anti-malaria medication should be taken prior to arrival, during the stay and after departure. Visitors originating from countries infected with cholera and yellow fever should have with them valid vaccination certificates.

 

CURRENCY.                                                                              

Importation of foreign currency by visitors is unlimited. It is illegal to import or export Tanzanian currency. Foreign currency, cash as well as travelers cheque's  may be exchanged at  Banks and Bureau de Change, shops found at the airports and in all major towns and border posts. Credit cards are not  widely accepted and carry poor exchange rates. Visitors to the National Parks and to  Zanzibar are required to pay for their services in foreign currency.

 

CUSTOMS.                                                        

Personal effects including binoculars, cameras and films may be imported temporarily free of duty. A custom bond may be demanded from visitors bringing in Video filming equipment, radio, tape recorders and musical instruments to ensure the goods are re-exported. Fire-arms require special permits.

 

DEPARTURES.                                                                                                           

An airport tax of US $.30 (this is subject to review) or its equivalent in convertible foreign currency is lived on all visitors departing the country. Baggage is weighed at check - in counters and may be inspected by custom officials.  

 

LANGUAGE.                                                                                                              

The National Language is Swahili but English is widely spoken.
